A Family Business Built on Hard Work and Heritage
In 1979, at the age of 21, John Drysdale, a farmer’s son and time served motor engineer from Kinnesswood Farm near Kinross, set out on his own, working out of the back of a Volkswagen Transporter pickup and a small shed on the family farm.
He spent the first few summer seasons contracted out working on pea viners and machinery for local co-operative growers before moving into bigger premises on the farm. In 1987, we subsequently took on the Italian Same tractors agency, by this time we were also carrying out repairs on a wide variety of machinery and motor vehicles for customers and contractors within the local area.
Today, the business remains family owned, and in 2005 expanded to include a second generation, with John’s oldest son, Robert, joining his father.
